One down, two to go

I have officially been admitted to San Jose State for graduate school! Yay! Now, I just have to wait to see what UW and Georgia Tech have to say. Maybe things are starting to look up...

I have arrived?

Well, after a couple of months of posting pics on Flickr, I have received my first creepy comments. Granted, I thought it would be from a man, but no. I guess I have a female admirer. At this point, I'm not sure whether to be flattered or a little weirded out. Anyways, I was curious as to who this person was, so I navigated over to her profile. Interestingly, she is one of the masses online who posts provocative pictures. This is one subject I'm still trying to wrap my head around. Surely posting provocative pictures will always garner attention. But, why do you need attention from people online? What does that say about you that you have to post these pictures to get attention and validation? I could go on, but I digress -- what can I say, I don't get it. You won't be seeing any semi-nude or nude pictures of me on the internet. No how, no way. I really don't need that subject coming up in an interview.

Current status: totally disheveled

Well, I was laid off Friday and it's been a rough couple of days. I'm really struggling with my emotions about the situation. I want to be optimistic but on the other hand I'm upset by it all (as I probably should be). At any rate, I hope to find another position soon and go back to graduate school where I can finally advance my career. Sigh... think good thoughts - I need all the help I can get! :)
