OMG: Amazon sans tabs??

I navigated over to Amazon tonight to buy a book and I was shocked SHOCKED I tell you to find that Amazon just redesigned their website. Now, redesigning is usually a good thing, but what was most shocking is that they GOT RID OF THE TABS. Holy freaking crap!! If you know anything about the history of web design, Amazon was practically the pioneer of tabs. So, for them to actually ditch the design element they became so famous for well is...crazy!!! Wow, I can't wait to hear what my design prof has to say about this one.
